Our creation for Olfactory Art Keller's minimalist showcase explores the delicate boundary where the tangible dissolves into abstraction. What begins as something familiar gradually transforms — a scented optical illusion that questions the nature of perception itself.
From an infinite canvas of possibilities, we found our muse in the dialogue between two distinctive voices: the herbaceous clarity of Spanish lavender and the verdant brightness of Mate NHS. They enter like old friends, their presence immediately recognizable, grounding us in the comfort of the known. But this is where the metamorphosis begins.
Set against a deliberately sparse backdrop of carefully selected musks and ambers, these natural oils begin their fascinating dissolution. Like watching watercolors bleed into paper, their initially bold personalities gradually shift and blur. The headspace evolves into something increasingly abstract — a scent that exists in the liminal space between real and artificial, natural and synthetic, memory and imagination.
Notes: Hand-crushed lavender flowers and mate tea extract wrapped in a wave of ambrette musk and karmawood. The top notes are floral and inviting, but as time passes, they decay into notes of benzene and wax.
Style: A non-perfume, perfume.
